Return and Refund Policy

Last updated July 7, 2026

Return authorization required

You must contact Hearstead and receive return authorization before sending a product back. Products returned without authorization may be refused, delayed, returned to sender, or ineligible for refund.

To request a return, contact hello@hearstead.com with your order number, the product you want to return, the reason for return, whether the product is opened, used, damaged, incomplete, or defective, and photos or other support information if requested.

Return window

Return windows are product-specific and may depend on product category, supplier rules, manufacturer rules, and applicable law.

Unless a product page or checkout disclosure states a different approved return window, non-defective returns must be requested within the product-specific return window shown before purchase; defective, damaged, incorrect, or incomplete item claims should be reported promptly after delivery; warranty questions after the return window are handled under the manufacturer's warranty process where available.

Condition requirements

Returned products generally must include the product, chargers, cords, adapters, handsets, receivers, batteries, remote controls, domes, tips, cases, manuals, and other included accessories where applicable; original packaging and materials when required; proof of purchase or order information; and any RMA or return documentation we provide.

Returns may be denied, reduced, or delayed if products are late, unauthorized, incomplete, damaged, unsanitary, missing required parts, missing packaging, outside the approved policy, or inconsistent with supplier or manufacturer rules.

Return shipping

Unless the product-specific policy, support approval, or applicable law says otherwise, ordinary change-of-mind return shipping is your responsibility.

For damaged, defective, incorrect, or incomplete products, Hearstead will review the issue and determine the appropriate next step. Do not ship a product back until return instructions are approved.

Inspection and refunds

Returned products may need to be inspected by Hearstead, a supplier, a manufacturer, or another approved review path before refund approval.

Refunds are generally issued to the original payment method after the return is received, inspected, and approved. Refund timing may depend on the payment processor, card network, bank, supplier review, inspection, or other processing requirements.

Shipping charges, return shipping, handling charges, restocking fees, missing accessories, damaged items, opened consumables, final-sale items, or non-returnable categories may be excluded from refund where permitted by law and stated in the applicable policy. Hearstead does not promise a refund until the return or cancellation is reviewed and approved.

Cancellations

You may request cancellation before fulfillment begins. Cancellation is not guaranteed after an order has been submitted to a supplier, entered fulfillment, shipped, or otherwise processed.

If cancellation is approved before fulfillment, the refund path may differ from a return after delivery.

Non-returnable or restricted items

Some products or parts may be non-returnable, final sale, restricted after opening, or subject to special return rules. Examples may include opened consumables, personal-use parts, sanitary items, replacement parts, special-order items, clearance/final-sale items, or items restricted by supplier or manufacturer policy.

Any product-specific non-returnable or restricted status should be shown before purchase.

For return, RMA, cancellation, or refund questions, contact hello@hearstead.com.
